8-Bit Style Bloodstained: Curse Of The Moon Launches May 24 On Switch And 3DS

Inti Creates has announced Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, a brand new 8-bit style Bloodstained title that’s different from the upcoming Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night game.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon was developed by Inti Creates staff with the supervision of Mr. Igarashi. It’ll be released as a digital download on May 24, 2018 on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night backers who have backed at least USD20 will receive it for free.

Check out the trailer and details below.

“Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon” is the title that we originally promised to make in tandem with Koji Igarashi during the Bloodstained Kickstarter campaign back in 2015. Mr. Igarashi’s unmatched experience with these kinds of games combined with our staff’s talent and enthusiasm for the project created a game that feels both nostalgic and like a fresh new experience at the same time.

Curse of the Moon is packed with the retro charm that made the legendary 2D action games of the 80s so enjoyable. Take control of one of four characters that can be interchanged at any time during gameplay: The sword-swinging exorcist Zangetsu, the whip-wielding heroine Miriam, the magic using alchemist Alfred, and Gebel, who can turn into a bat and take to the skies. You can experience multiple endings depending on how you interact with the characters you meet.
