Analyst Says Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. Sells 300k Copies In Asia

When Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. arrived in Japan, the physical copy sold less than 100k copies during its first week. It wasn’t looking good for the game, which Capcom was aiming to move at least 300k copies.

Yasuda-san from Ace Securities has made some forecasts in his weekly report. According to Yasuda, the game will “surpass 300k copies” sold in the entire Asia region. This not only includes but Japan but other countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. The game launched in those countries on the same day as Japan.

As for the Japanese market alone, he predicts it will move 200k copies, both physical and digital combined.

How accurate Yasuda’s forecast is remains to be seen. While there’s a possibility the game will move 200k copies lifetime, it’s hard to say for the rest of Asia, where no one even knows how many Nintendo Switch units have been sold.
