Animal Crossing: New Horizons Will Not Support Cloud Saves, Multiple Accounts Share One Island

As Animal Crossing: New Horizons draws nearer to release in 2020, the game’s director Aya Kyogoku has revealed more important logistics about the game.

During an interview Miketendo 64, Kyogoku confirmed that the game will not support cloud saves. This is mainly because the developers did not want players to manipulate in-game events by reverting back to a previous save.

Additionally, Kyogoku clarified in an IGN interview that each Nintendo Switch will only have one island. This means that players can create up to eight Switch accounts for eight villagers, who will all share the same island. Multiple islands will not be possible on a single Switch system.

What do you think about these restrictions? Are they fine for Animal Crossing, or could they be a hindrance for you? Let us know in the comments below.
