In an interview with Game Informer, The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma was asked about the possibility of remaking The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword with no motion controls and only button controls.

When asked that question, Aonuma said he thinks it would be close to impossible to remake Skyward Sword without motion controls. Here’s what he has to say:

“So you’re saying control it all with buttons? That’s a little hard! I think it might be close to impossible!”

This means if Nintendo were to ever remake Skyward Sword, motion controls will still remain as a fundamental part of the game.
