Several months ago, Gameloft announced that Asphalt 9: Legends would be heading to Switch. While details about the game were sparse then, we’ve finally learnt more about the game’s release plans today.
A new listing in the Japanese Switch eShop reveals that the game will be releasing as a free-to-play title on 9 October 2019. Switch owners will also be able to purchase a ‘Starter Racer Bundle’ at 2,400 yen – which grants them 200,000 in-game credits, 300 in-game tokens, and access to five cars.
The Japanese eShop listing also highlights language support for English – so you can actually pre-load the game right now if you have a Japanese eShop account handy.
We’ll update this post if the US and EU eShops also list the same release date. In the meantime, check out an earlier trailer for the game below.
