Since October 2017, Atlus have been teasing Shin Megami Tensei V – the next major entry in the long-running franchise. If you’ve been concerned about the game’s fate, the company doesn’t want you to lose hope just yet.

In its New Year’s message for 2020, Atlus re-affirmed that titles such as Shin Megami Tensei V were still “Under Active Development.” This comes a couple of months after a recent Game Informer interview in October 2019, where director Katsura Hashino stated that the game’s development team finally settled on a solid direction, and that Atlus would hopefully have something to show fans the near future.
