Capcom Acknowledges Monster Hunter Rise “Friends List” Slowdown Bug, Will Be Fixed Before Launch

Earlier this month, Capcom released a demo for Monster Hunter Rise on Switch, where some players encountered an interesting technical issue with the game.

Following the demo’s launch, a number of players began reporting slowdowns and other performance issues when playing online. After much discussion and testing, it was eventually discovered that the lag was caused by having a full friends list, and making a fresh account on the Switch resolved the issue.

Recently, Capcom has put out a statement on Twitter saying they are aware of the issue and players can expect it to be fixed before the official launch. You can see the statement for yourself below, along with a translation by @Game8_MHRise.

Monster Hunter Rise launches March 26th for Nintendo Switch.
