Chrono Trigger & Chrono Cross Orchestra Arrangement CDs & Concert Announced For Japan

Square Enix has announced a special orchestral tribute to Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross coming to Japan later this year.

The project is called “Chrono Orchestra” and consists of orchestral arrangements of songs from Chrono Trigger‘s and Chrono Cross‘ beloved soundtracks. These orchestral arrangements were supervised by Yasunori Mitsuda, the original composer and producer of the soundtracks for both games.

Firstly, the arrangements will release as a pair of CDs on September 7 2019. These are the “Chrono Trigger Orchestral Arrangement” and the “Chrono Cross Orchestral Arrangement”, each containing eight songs and retailing for 3,300 yen each. In addition, there is also a “Chrono Orchestra Arrangement Box” package which contains both discs, as well as an additional disc containing another four songs. This full box edition retails for 8,000 yen.

Secondly, Chrono Orchestra concerts will be held in Japan in Osaka on September 7, 2019, and in Tokyo on October 27, 2019. In addition to standard tickets, a special Chrono Seat ticket option is available, which comes with two music boxes that have the characters Kid and Marle on them. Furthermore, Yasunori Mitsuda will make appearances as the concerts.
