Confused Boomers Ask Whether Ring Fit Adventure Could Be Played On Wii

Almost a decade ago, it wasn’t uncommon to see your parents and older folk playing Wii Sports and Wii Fit to stay healthy.

While most of the  gaming world has moved on from the Wii to Nintendo Switch, many boomers unfamiliar with video games have not. Upon hearing about Ring Fit Adventure, some confused boomers began to ask strange questions on sites such as Amazon.

One boomer asked in September whether Ring Fit Adventure works with the Wii, even though the product name clearly states it’s for Nintendo Switch:

Q: Does this game work with the Wii??

A: Did you read the information provided before asking a question? No, you did not. Does it state “Wii” anywhere in the title or description? No, it does not.

Another asked whether the game works on the “Nintendo Vita”. Whoever asked that was clearly confused.

Q: Will this work on my son’s Nintendo Vita?

A: There’s no such thing as a Nintendo Vita. If you are asking about the PlayStation Vita, the answer is no. This is only for the Nintendo Switch.

One boomer confused the Wii Remote for the Joy-Con and thought it fits with the Ring-Con and Leg Band:

Q: Will my Wii motes work with it? And if so, which one would I insert into the leg strap and which one would slide into the ring con?

A: This game doesn’t work with anything related to the Wii. It only works on the Nintendo Switch and a pair of original Joy-Con are required

And another asked the obvious:

Q: OK, so you have to have Nintendo Switch to work this?

A: Yes, it’s a video game for the Nintendo Switch so a Switch is needed to play it.
