Dead Cells ‘Rise Of The Giant’ Free DLC Now Live, Adds New Hidden Level, Entirely New Ending, & More

Motion Twin has finally rolled out the much-awaited major free update for the hit Switch indie game – Dead Cells!

The Rise Of The Giant update brings with it a lot of content aimed for both new and experienced players, alike. Once updated, the game will get new enemy types, weapons, skills, and over 50 new skins. What’s more, a new hidden level including an entirely new story ending will be available for those seeking a more challenging run.

Dead Cells is also now available at 20 percent off across the Nintendo eShop.

Rise of the Giant is aimed for both new and experienced players, but hosts a wealth of end-game content for the most experienced players who have beaten the game at least once – they can expect to face off against horrible, horrible death as it awaits in the form of perilous lava pools and caverns of violent new enemies, including a new boss and a hidden level.

Fans will also be treated to a new skinning system and more than 50 new character outfits to enjoy while they die repeatedly. The free update includes:

• 10 new enemy types
• 10 new weapons have been introduced, including the Giant Killer, the Boi Axe and the Thunder Shield, if you’re into that sort of thing.
• Three new skills have been included in the game
• And for the most advanced players: Rise of the Giant holds a new hidden level including an entirely new ending to your story
• And way, way more.
