One of the things that make Pikachu so unique is its trademark “Pika Pika” cry voiced by Japanese voice actor Ikue Otani.

In the first Pokemon: Detective Pikachu movie trailer, we briefly heard Otani’s signature “Pika Pika” cry. However, it wasn’t present in the German version of the trailer. Check it out below:

For reasons unknown, the German trailer featured a “Pika Pika” cry voiced by someone else. Anyway, it seems The Pokemon Company has taken notice and released a new version of the official German trailer with the correct Pika Pika cry:
