Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Moves 88,000 Copies In Japan

Media Create has released last week’s sales data for the video game market in Japan, for the period between April 30 and May 6, 2018.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, which launched on Nintendo Switch last week, debuted No. 1 on the sales charts. The game moved 88,421 units at launch week.

Meanwhile, Nintendo Labo Variety Kit (No. 3, 32,244 copies), Kirby Star Allies (No. 4, 31,377 copies), and Splatoon 2 (No. 5, 29,850 copies) continue to perform strongly on the charts, all of which are Nintendo Switch titles.

Nintendo Switch console sales hit 53,133 units last week, taking 50.8% of the number of hardware sold last week.
