Square Enix shared a few more details regarding the new Dragon Quest title on Switch.

During the Jump Festa 2019 presentation, Square Enix revealed that a surprise announcement has been planned to go off on 1st January 2019. No further details have been mentioned but we know that more details will be shared throughout 2019.

According to Square Enix, a live stream featuring game designer Yuhi Horii and producer Hokuto Okamoto is set for January. The live stream can be watched on Youtube and Niconico.

The official website for Dragon Quest XI S has also been opened. In addition, Square Enix revealed that a manga adaptation is in the works. The manga will feature a plot starring Erik taking place before the events of the game. Hiro Mashima, the renowned mangaka for Fairy Tail, will pen the adaptation.
