Dr. Mario World Hits 5 Million Downloads In Its First Week, Players Have Spent $500K In Total

Following its first week, it looks like Dr. Mario World is finding a nice foothold in the mobile market.

Sensor Tower has released new statistics for the puzzle spin-off title, with a closer look at its first seven days on iOS and Android devices. In particular, Dr. Mario World has already been downloaded around 5 million times, which is pretty healthy in contrast to more mainstream hits like Fire Emblem Heroes and Super Mario Run. See for yourself in the table below:

Notably, the game has only earned around $500,000 total from worldwide player spending – which seems somewhat paltry at first glance. However, Sensor Tower also noted that this was quite healthy for a mobile puzzle game. For comparison, they cited the mobile titles Toon Blast and Candy Crush Friends Saga – which raked in $90,000 and $670,000 in their first weeks respectively.

As it stands, Dr. Mario World seems to be working out for Nintendo right now. We’ll report back when we hear more.
