Ex-Annapurna Interactive Staff Taking Over Private Division Projects

Last year, the entire staff of publisher Annapurna Interactive resigned over conflict with the owner.

According to a new report from Bloomberg, the former staff have been pulled into a new company poised to take over the portfolio of Private Division, the indie publishingthat Take-Two Interactive sold off a few months back. Bloomberg’s sources claim that Private Division was purchased by Austin-based private equity firm Haveli Investments, who have hired the Ex-Annapurna staff for a new company to take over Private Division’s work.

This new unnamed company will include not just the Annapurna staff, but also 20 of the original Private Division employees, with the rest unfortunately being laid off. Projects that will be inherited by the company include  Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game, the Kerbal Space Program series, and the Game Freak’s mysterious “Project Bloom.”
