Expect New IPs On Nintendo Switch In 2018 And Beyond, Koizumi Says

Over the past few days Nintendo Switch Producer Yoshiaki Koizumi has been speaking to the Japanese press on Nintendo’s plans for the Nintendo Switch in 2018.

Today Koizumi spoke to Famitsu about Super Mario Odyssey, and Koizumi shared more details about Nintendo’s software plans for 2018. Check out his full comments below.

Famitsu: Do you think there are Nintendo Switch users who worry about next year’s software lineup? Given that in just 2017 Nintendo has released hit titles featuring The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario, as well as games featuring “boom IP” such as Splatoon.

Koizumi: Nintendo still has many IPs at its disposal. Not only can our customers expect Nintendo’s traditional IP, but even new IP that people would have never dreamed of. We’re working and preparing our new IP, which players can expect to see in 2018, 2019, and the future. As we are making something that will pierce the hearts of everyone, I hope you will look forward to it.
