Square Enix has announced they are bringing Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster to Switch 2.
The remaster of both games in the Final Fantasy X duology released for Switch 1 back in 2019, and the Switch 2 version will presumably feature better performance and graphics over that release. However, the game’s Switch 2 eshop page notes that “save data is incompatible between the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions”. With this in mind, this new release is more so for players who chose not to pick it up previously.
Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster Switch 2 Edition will release on July 29th 2026.
