Former Animal Crossing Director Is Now Teaching Children How To Code

Two years ago, Animal Crossing director Isao Moro resigned from Nintendo and didn’t reveal the reason why and what he was planning to do for a living.

Now we have learned the reason behind his resignation and what he’s been doing in the last 2 years. Moro and his family moved to Okinawa, an island that’s detached from mainland Japan, and had a change in occupation.

Moro wanted to move to an island south of Japan, and his family also had the same desire. It wasn’t an easy task as they had to take their son out of school and transfer him to a new school. Both Moro and his wife also loved diving, something which they could easily do in Okinawa.

Moro is now teaching children how to code at Atelier Yu, an institute he established. His class consists of 30 children in elementary school and middle school. Programming languages taught include LEGO Boost and Scratch. Moro’s wife is also teaching painting at Atelier Yu in Okinawa.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments.

Thanks, Brandon.
