Fortnite Explodes Into Black Hole, Rendering The Game Unplayable [UPDATE]

If you’ve been thinking of jumping back into Fortnite for a few matches…well, you might need to hold off for a bit.

Season 10 of the game recently ended with a bang – quite literally. The event’s conclusion saw a meteorite slam and combine into one of the island’s rifts, causing it to collapse into a black hole. If players attempt to jump back into the game, all they’ll see is the image above: nothing but darkness. Even users in lobbies got to witness the climatic end occur, with the black hole sucking up their menus!

You can check out everything unfolding below.

In addition to this, Fortnite’s various social media channels have gone on a blackout as well. The same black hole is present, and many posts are simply gone.

Of course, this is probably isn’t the end of the massively popular battle royale title. After all, previous leaks have revealed that a ‘Fortnite Chapter 2‘ is most likely on its way with all-new content. We’ll just have to wait and see what unfolds in the future.

[UPDATE 15/10/19] Fortnite has returned from the Black Hole with the new Fortnite ‘Chapter 2’ update! Check out more details over here.
