Full Details On Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Squad Strike And Smashdown Revealed

Dataminers have released the full breakdown on the Squad Strike and Smashdown modes in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

There will be three options for players to choose for Squad Strike. The first option is a continuous battle where the winner will stay as long as they win (“After a fighter is KO’d, the next fighter will appear seamlessly”).

The second option lets the winner start a new battle with the same fighter, and the loser will have to switch to another fighter (“The winner will start a new battle with the next opponent”). Last but not least is Best of Battle, where both players have to switch to a different fighter after every match (“Each pair of fighters is matched up. The winner doesn’t stay in.”).

Now onto Smashdown. First up is a battle until the very end (“Fight every battle, even if there is no chance for a comeback!”), followed by a battle until a winner is decided (“Smashdown ends when a comeback is impossible”), and finally the last option is a full battle (“The maximum number of battles to be played”).
