FuRyu has announced a new “fishing battle action game” called Fishing Fighters in Japan.

The announcement was made via Weekly Famitsu, which revealed the following information about the title (translated by Gematsu):

• Due to launch on March 25th in Japan.
• Takes place across various fishing spots such as lakes and oceans.
• In Story Mode, you compete in a fishing tournament featuring the “sexy beauty” Angel, the “beautiful girl” Echika, and a mysterious masked man and rival known as “The Fisher.”
• There is also an eight-player battle mode.

Unfortunately, it seems screenshots and other promotional images for the title have yet to surface online. We will be sure to report back with more info as it comes.
