It looks like both SEGA and G FUEL might be taking the internet’s Sonic the Hedgehog memes a little too seriously.
Both companies have announced that they will be producing an official chili dogs flavored “Sanic” Energy Drink – based on the badly-drawn version of Sonic the Hedgehog which has become a meme within the fandom. This is the second collaboration energy drink between SEGA and G FUEL, with the first one being based on regular Sonic with a Peach Ring flavor.
While announced on April Fools’ Day, this new product is certainly doesn’t appear to be a joke – and US/Canada citizens can even join the waitlist to buy a bundle for $39.99 USD over here. This waitlist registration will close on 2 April 2021 (3PM ET).
