GameStop Steals Fan Art, Uses It As Placeholder Cover For Super Smash Bros. Switch

A Reddit user called arshizzle has called out GameStop for stealing his fan art. The company used it as a placeholder cover for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch without his permission.

The stolen design was spotted at a local GameStop location in the United States. Arshizzle claims he made the mockup cover about a year ago along with many other games.

As Nintendo has not revealed the official cover artwork for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch, a GameStop employee could have mistakenly thought the fan art was real. This isn’t the first time GameStop has stolen Super Smash Bros. Switch artwork from the Internet created by other users.
