Grass Trademarked By Nintendo In Japan

The Japanese trademark office has granted Nintendo, Creatures Inc, and Game Freak approval to use the trademark “grass”.

Purposes of the “grass” trademark include game accessories, trading cards, and more. The “grass” kanji was trademarked by all three companies:

Perhaps making things funnier is the fact that the grass kanji is used to signify “lol” (laugh out loud) in Japanese.
