Here’s Some Photos From Pokemon GO Park In Japan

Pokemon GO Park, an event for Pokemon GO trainers to catch rare and elusive Pokemon in Yokohama, Japan, has just begun 2 days ago. It runs alongside the annual Pikachu Outbreak event, where dozens of Pikachu mascots march on the streets of Yokohama.

Pokemon GO Park is set to run until next week, and is free of charge to the public. Let’s take a look at how things are going!

Real life PokeStops have been installed at various parts of the Cup Noodles Museum Park and Red Brick Park.

There’s even a real life Pokemon gym, too! Visitors can connect to SoftBank Wi-Fi for free if they’re close to the Pokemon gym statue.

Things seem to be going on smoothly at Pokemon GO Park, with no reports of connectivity issues that occurred at Pokemon GO Fest Chicago.

Unlike Pokemon GO Park, Pokemon GO Fest Chicago was a disaster. Although it was an event trainers had to pay to enter, the game was unplayable for many at the venue, and Niantic CEO John Hanke was even booed off the stage.

Hopefully Niantic learns their lesson and emulates the successful Pokemon GO Park event in years to come.
