Hinamatsuri, Pi Day, And St. Patrick’s Day Items Are Arriving Soon In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Earlier this week, Nintendo announced that a free Super Mario update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons would be going live soon. Aside from adding new Super Mario items to the game, here are some other new goodies heading to players in the near future!

Nintendo has released a brief preview of new seasonal items that will be added with the free update. First up – to celebrate the Japanese tradition of Hinamatsuri (Girls’ Day in Japan), the Girl’s Day Doll Set and Bonbori lamp will be purchasable from February 25 – March 3.

Next up, a special Pi Day Pie furniture item will be available from March 3 – March 14 to celebrate Pi Day (i.e. since March 14 can be read as 3/14, which corresponds with the numerical constant “π”).

The game will also celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Shamrock Rug, Shamrock Door Plate, and Shamrock Soda available from March 10 – March 17. From the image below, it looks like the Able Sisters will also be offering St. Patcrick’s Day clothing as well.

As always, most of these items will be available under the “Seasonal Items” tab in the Nook Shopping menu once the update arrives later this week.

Finally, players who receive the Version 1.8 update for the game on February 25 will receive a free Super Mario Bros. Wallpaper as a thank-you gift from Nintendo.

What do you think? Which of these items are you most looking forward to? Feel free to share below!
