Hundreds Of Facebook Users Conned By 88 Dollar Nintendo Switch Scam

We have received an interesting report from Facebook users living in Singapore and Malaysia today.

According to the report, multiple pages have been advertising on Facebook a special deal – Nintendo Switch consoles for SGD88 (USD64). That’s about 21% of the USD299.99 MSRP, which seems to good to be true. Here’s a look at one of the advertisements:

While I believe most readers here aren’t stupid enough to fall for this, the shocking thing is many Facebook users ordered the special deal. This is because there were hundreds of comments asking whether their order has been processed.

Victims of the scam were extremely furious and are now reporting this matter to the police. Some harassed the scammers but they were obviously ignored. Hopefully Facebook will take down the pages and advertisements involved in this scam.
