Japan: Lost Sphear Switch Moves 5700 Copies In Its First 3 Days

This week’s Media Create numbers are in, and we have some interesting sales numbers to share.

Square-Enix’s Lost Sphear, a spiritual successor to I am Setsuna, launched in Japan on both Nintendo Switch and PS4 last week. Lost Sphear moved 5,770 copies on Nintendo Switch (9th place), and 7,363 copies on PS4 (6th place).

Lost Sphear did slightly better than the Switch version of I am Setsuna, which sold 4,625 during its first few days in Japan.

Other Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS titles, such as Splatoon 2 (19,622 copies/2nd place), Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (13,321 copies/3rd place), Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions (12,215 copies/4th place), and Pokken Tournament DX (8,367 copies/5th place) did considerably better than Lost Sphear.

This could be due to new users picking up a Switch in Japan last week, as 40,803 units were sold.
