Japan: Nintendo Labo Hits 150,000 Units Sold, Naruto Trilogy Debuts At 6000 Copies

Media Create has released the latest video game market sales data for the period of April 23 to April 29, 2018 in Japan.

Nintendo Labo, which launched a week earlier, has collectively sold over 150,000 units since launch. Variety Kit moved 25,914 sets (4th place) while Robot Kit sold 5680 sets (17th place). It’ll be interesting to see whether Nintendo Labo sales will continue to slow down or maintain momentum.

Meanwhile, Splatoon 2 (18664 copies/5th place), Kirby Star Allies (17950 copies/6th place), and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (13191 copies/8th place) continue to sell strongly on a weekly basis. 38,752 Nintendo Switch consoles were sold in Japan last week, about 8000 more than the week Nintendo Labo launched.

Unfortunately for Bandai Namco Entertainment, Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy hasn’t performed as well as other ports the company has brought to Nintendo Switch. The trilogy debuted at 6682 copies/15th place.
