Japan’s Kagawa Prefecture Has Installed 16 New Manhole Covers With Slowpoke Designs

As you’ll know, Slowpoke is the current ‘Pokemon Ambassador’ for Kagawa prefecture in Japan, due to its Japanese name (Yadon) sounding similar to Kagawa’s famous udon dishes. Originally, the lazy Pokemon only featured in some special merchandise – but tourists can now connect with Slowpoke even as they roam Kagawa’s streets!

Recently, the city revealed that it installed 16 new manhole covers – all of which have Slowpoke designs! Each design is unique, with only one of each kind located at various parts of Kagawa.
