Today, Niantic CEO John Hanke shared a flight with Doctor PoGO, a prominent Level 40 trainer in Pokemon GO.
During their flight, John Hanke revealed a few things that are on the road map for Pokemon GO. First, the CEO confirmed that Generation IV (4) Pokemon are currently in development for Pokemon GO, and so is the highly anticipated PVP system. Hanke did not mention any release date or specific information.
Next, Hanke revealed that Niantic is trying to make maps more “raid-friendly”, and the level cap in Pokemon GO will be increased in the future. It’s currently unclear what the new level cap is and when it will happen.
A few other minor details Hanke confirmed with Doctor PoGO were PokeStop submissions, which are coming in the future, Pokemon GO Fest 2.0, and the company taking actions against spoofers.
So guess who I ran into again on the plane.
