Klonoa Director Seeking Support To Release Series Guidebook

Klonoa Director Hideo Yoshizawa is asking fans on Twitter to help him convince Bandai-Namco to release a guidebook for the series called “Klonoa Chronicle Collection”.

For those who don’t know, Klonoa was a series of side-scrolling platformers from the late 90s published by Namco. Gamers played as a “Dream Traveler” named Klonoa, as he adventured through various dream worlds righting wrongs and solving mysteries. Although the series has largely fallen by the wayside, it still has a strong cult following and many passionate fans today.

Now, the series’ director Hideo Yoshizawa is looking to rally these fans for a new cause. For Klonoa’s 25th anniversary, he wants to celebrate by releasing a special guidebook for the series. This guidebook would contain various unrevealed details about the development of the series, pulled directly from Bandai-Namco’s archives. Although this sounds like a great idea, Yoshizawa will apparently have to convince Bandai-Namco to go through with it first.

Previously, Yoshizawa had been sharing behind the scenes information about Klonoa through weekly twitter updates. This was apparently done in order to drum up support for an animated Klonoa movie before the project was cancelled. However, the response to those tweets helped him realize that there were still a lot of Klonoa fans out there. He believes that if enough of these fans show their support for the project, it would help convince Bandai-Namco to make it happen.

If you remember Klonoa and would love to see Yoshizawa’s idea become a reality, be sure to give his twitter post a like/share!
