Koei Tecmo Aims To Lock Warriors Orochi 4 To 1080p And 60 FPS On Nintendo Switch

During E3 2018, Warriors Orochi 4 producer Masaki Furusawa spoke to Dualshockers about the Nintendo Switch version of Warriors Orochi 4.

Furusawa shared details on the challenges Koei Tecmo are facing to bring Warriors Orochi 4 to Nintendo Switch, and confirmed that the game won’t look as good as the PS4 and Xbox One version due to the system’s specs.

Because of the lower specs of the Switch, our biggest challenge is keeping the frame rate [stable] because we want to preserve the action of the game as much as possible without it being affected. Of course the lower specs will also lower the graphics of the game.

Despite these hurdles, Furusawa has some pretty big targets for Warriors Orochi 4 on Switch. They are aiming to get the game run at 60 fps in TV and Handheld Mode, and 1080p in TV and 720p in Handheld mode.

Warriors Orochi 4 launches October 16, 2018 on Nintendo Switch.
