Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry Back On Switch eShop, With One Scene Censored

Previously, we reported on the removal of Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry from the Switch eShop. Thankfully, the game is now available for purchase again – but not without caveats.

As previously speculated, it looks like the ESRB did discover a questionable piece of artwork in the game, which would have bumped the game beyond an ‘M’ rating. As a result, the publishers at Assemble Team needed to pull the game down from various digital stores to edit the artwork in question – before putting it back up for sale. Below is an excerpt from Censored Gaming that confirms this to be the case.

The altered artwork in question might be a little too raunchy for some readers to handle, so we won’t dive into specifics. All we’ll say is that it involves Larry getting a little too handy with forces beyond this Earth. The censored piece of artwork was apparently just a quick slide as well, which explains how the ESRB might have missed out on it initially.

While this might be unfortunate for some Leisure Suit Larry fans out there, at least the game is available again without other major alterations. Also, it’s good to see that Nintendo is sticking to its promise of not censoring third-party games like Sony often does – and leaving matters like this in the ESRB’s hands.
