Level-5: Why Yo-Kai Watch 4 And Inazuma Elevens Ares Were Delayed, Teases New Project

In the latest issue of the Weekly Famitsu, Level-5 CEO and President Akihiro Hino commented on the 20th anniversary of Level-5 and the revival of canceled spirit horror RPG Ushiro.

Earlier this month, Level-5 made the decision to delay Yo-Kai Watch 4 and Inazuma Eleven Ares, both which were slated to launch for Nintendo Switch in Japan this year.

While no reason was given for the delay, Hino revealed that development is “progressing well” for both games and the staff are hard at working polishing them up.

Hino added that Level-5 has other titles coming in the pipeline, including a 20th anniversary title with “an unexpected approach to online”. These games will be officially revealed after Yo-Kai Watch 4 and Inazuma Eleven Ares are released, in order not to “be rude” to customers waiting for said games.
