Looking Back At Emily Rogers’ List Of Mystery First Party Switch Titles Coming In 2019

Industry insider Emily Rogers has previously shared her thoughts about Nintendo’s 2019 Switch software lineup early this year.

To date, Rogers has dropped hints and teases and shared early bits of information before Nintendo has even announced these titles such as Pokemon Let’s Go, Astral Chain, Labo Toy-Con 04 VR Kit, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE.

Today, we take a look back at Rogers’ list of mystery Switch titles and see what have been revealed as of yet.

Check out the list below:

The “Most likely” Nintendo-published game announcements for 2019. (70% chance or higher)

1. Mystery game #1 – Super Mario Maker 2
2. Mystery game #2 – The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening remake
3. Mystery game #3 – Astral Chain
4. Mystery game #4 – Upcoming fitness-related title
5. eShop game #1 – Tetris 99
6. Mystery Wii U port #1 (2013 title) – Unannounced
7. eShop game #2 – BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL!
8. eShop game #3 – Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda
9. New Labo Kit – Toy-Con 04 VR Kit

The “Maybe” games for 2019. (The wild card titles – 50% chance or less)

10. Retro Studios secret game (this is assuming it wasn’t canned)
11. Metroid Prime Trilogy (assuming Zell’s info and Imran’s info are correct)
12. Mystery Wii U port #2 – Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore

Surely, Rogers’ list is now looking pretty reliable. Additionally, Rogers said that the mystery game #4 refers to the “new Switch experience” which will be revealed on September 12.

As for the rest of unannounced games – Retro Studios’ secret game, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and that Wii U port from 2013 – we could probably expect them to be confirmed soon – maybe during the Tokyo Game Show 2019 which will be held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan from September 12 to September 15, 2019.

By the way, we listed below the first-party Wii U titles released in 2013, any of these could be the next Wii U port to be revealed for the Nintendo Switch:

  • Game & Wario (June 2013)
  • Pikmin 3 (August 2013)
  • The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD (September 2013)
  • The Wonderful 101 (September 2013)
  • Super Mario 3D World (November 2013)
