Luigi’s Mansion 3DS Flops In Japan

Luigi’s Mansion 3DS Flops In Japan

One of the more popular remakes this year, Luigi‘s Mansion 3DS, has unfortunately had quite a stumbling start in Japan.

According to Media Create data, the game launched to a weak sell through of only 20% on its first day, and only 27,000 copies sold. Although Dengeki had a more optimistic outlook at 45% sell through, its initial sales figures matched that of Media Create.

This is in great contrast to how the Luigi’s Mansion franchise did in the past with Luigi’s Mansion 2 selling 280,000 at launch.

It would either seem like Nintendo players have already moved on to the Nintendo Switch, or people are uninterested in another port from Nintendo. Let us know what you think in the comments
