Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which were released for Wii U and Nintendo Switch respectively, have collectively achieved a major sales milestone on January 30, 2020.

Both games have officially surpassed 31 million copies worldwide. Mario Kart 8, one of Wii U’s bestselling titles, moved a total of 8.44 million copies as of FY2019 Q2.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the bestselling Nintendo Switch title, currently stands at 22.96 million units worldwide. That’s more than double of Wii U’s Mario Kart 8.
