Want to dive right into Mary Skelter Finale without playing the entire series? It looks like you’ll be able to catch up with the game’s story so far without any issues!

Compile Heart has updated the game’s official website with new details about the ‘Before Story’ feature – which lets players watch the story highlights of Mary Skelter: Nightmares and Mary Skelter 2. As a bonus, the feature will also include various event CGs from past titles!

Before Story

If Mary Skelter Finale is your first time playing the Mary Skelter series, then worry not! With the “Before Story” feature, you can view the full story of the Mary Skelter series at any time!

Mary Skelter Finale includes a “Before Story” review system that lets you view the full stories of Mary Skelter: Nightmares and Mary Skelter 2. By viewing the “Before Story,” you can enjoy the story of the Mary Skelter series in its entirety.

By selecting “Before Story” from the title screen, you will then be able to select between Mary Skelter: Nightmares and Mary Skelter 2, and then between the “Story” and “Bonus” options.


By selecting the “Story” option, you can view the events of the game’s main and sub scenarios.


Of course, for those who have already played Mary Skelter: Nightmares or Mary Skelter 2, you also can also choose to only view the scenes you want to see again.

It should be noted that characters are not voiced in the “Before Story” events.

By selecting the “Bonus” option, you will then be able to select between “Gallery,” “Music,” and “Character” options. In the “Gallery,” you can view videos and event CG, as well as background images. In “Music,” you can listen to background music. And in “Character,” you can view each character.

Mary Skelter Finale hits Nintendo Switch on 27 August 2020 in Japan. Presently, there are no plans to localize the game for the west.
