Netherealm Confirms Switch Version Of Mortal Kombat 11 Will Be The Same As Other Consoles, No Cut Content

Earlier today at Pax East 2019, Netherealm Studios confirmed that there are no intentions to cut any content from the Switch version of Mortal Kombat 11, and they intend to have the experience be no different from the PS4 and XBoxOne Versions.

Switch ports of AAA titles have a bad history of being gimped compared to their counterparts on other consoles. Thankfully however, it seems that Netherealm Studios and Shiver Entertainment are committed to ensuring Switch players will not be shortchanged this time. Here’s some information that has come out from the game’s presence at Pax East:

  • Demo runs at 60fps, and the developers are trying to keep it that way
  • Demo at PAX has some slightly jaggy character outlines during the fight intro scenes, but not during gameplay
  • The extensive customization options present in the other versions are included
  • Story mode is included as well

Mortal Kombat 11 will be released for Switch on April 23rd for North America, and May 10 for Europe.
