Earlier this year, The Pokemon Company had to unfortunately delay new episodes of the latest Pokemon anime in Japan (i.e. Pokemon Journeys in the west) due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Well, it looks like fans of the show won’t have to wait much longer to get back on track with the series!

The official Pokemon Anime twitter has confirmed that new episodes will return on air starting from next week Sunday, 7 June 2020. This is thanks in part to Japan recently lifting its coronavirus-induced State of Emergency, so the anime’s development team can now continue working on the show.

“Following the end of the “State of Emergency” due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, we have resumed the program production that was temporarily suspended. Along with this, the animation “Pokemon” will resume broadcasting the latest episode from the evening of June 7th (Sunday) at 6pm. Please take a look! !”
