New “Unified Minds” Expansion Announced For Pokemon TCG

The Pokemon Company has unveiled a new expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game, Sun & Moon—Unified Minds.

The new expansion will feature eight new TAG TEAM Pokemon-GX cards, which star all new pairings of powered up Pokemon. The expansion is due to launch globally on August 2nd, but will be available early during select pre-release Pokemon TCG Tournaments.

June 6, 2019—Today, The Pokémon Company International unveiled a new expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Sun & Moon—Unified Minds, releasing around the world on August 2.

In this expansion, fans can look forward to seeing more Pokémon pairing up and working together in eight new TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX cards, including Mewtwo & Mew-GX, Slowpoke & Psyduck-GX, Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor-GX, and Garchomp & Giratina-GX, among others. Furthermore, the expansion contains nine additional Pokémon-GX, more than 25 Trainer cards, and two new Special Energy cards.

At launch, cards from Sun & Moon—Unified Minds will also be supported in Pokémon TCG Card Dex, a mobile app that offers an easy way to digitally browse and discover cards from the Pokémon TCG: Sun & Moon Series.

Fans will be able to try out Sun & Moon—Unified Minds before it launches by participating in one of the many Prerelease tournaments taking place on July 20–28. To find the nearest participating independent retailer, visit pokemon.com/locator.
