Smeargle, a Pokemon that could only be encountered while using GO Snapshot Mode, made its debut in Pokemon GO yesterday.

Some trainers, despite using GO Snapshot Mode for a very long time, have not encountered Smeargle even once. So the official Niantic Support Twitter account has given these trainers a few tips.

First, Niantic revealed that Smeargle appears only in the first photo of a session, so that rules out the second or third photos of the same session. If you don’t encounter Smeargle, Niantic recommends you to take photos with “more variety of Pokemon”. In other words, don’t take photos with the same type of Pokemon.
