Nintendo Believes Switch Could Catch Up To Wii This Holiday Season

Nintendo President Kimishima has repeatedly told the press that he believes the Switch could sell “Wii-like” numbers in its lifespan, and we could be seeing that coming true at least this holiday season.

During the recent financial briefing, Nintendo showed investors and analysts the sell through rate for Nintendo Switch hardware in three major markets – North America, Europe, and Japan. Each region showed that Nintendo Switch sales could potentially catch up to Wii by this holiday season, assuming that Nintendo is able to satisfy demand.

Keep in mind that the Switch launched in March 2017, unlike Wii and Wii U which released in November of their respective years.
