Nintendo Confirms Their QoL Projects Are Still In Development, Not Related To Pokemon Sleep

During Nintendo’s 79th Annual General Meeting Of Shareholders, the company shed more light on their foray into Quality Of Life (QoL) products and services.

According to Nintendo, the company is still hard at work developing QOL products behind-the-scenes, despite it being quite some time since we heard anything about them. Notably however, Nintendo made it clear that earlier announced Pokemon Sleep is not related to this initiative, and is solely in the court of The Pokemon Company.

You can find a translation of their comments below, courtesy of NStyles and BlackKite on Twitter:

“Although it’s a very long time ago, as a challenge towards a new business, we announced that we were developing products to improve quality of life. Even right now, the development is indeed still continuing. Still, we have not made a product that we can proudly announce as a Nintendo product. Pokémon Sleep is owned by The Pokémon Company so it is unrelated to the development in Nintendo’s QoL business.”

The news may come as a surprise to some, as Pokemon Sleep seemed like exactly the kind of QoL product Nintendo was looking to create back when this initiative was first announced. One can only wonder what lofty ambitions Nintendo has for the project, if they have yet to come up with one that meets their standards.
