Nintendo has been seeing a steady growth in digital sales over the past few years, and this year could reach a new high.

According to Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima, the Nintendo Switch has contributed to an increase of total download sales this year, and download sales of the second quarter of this fiscal year have been the highest in Nintendo’s history.

This would mean that download sales for this fiscal year will have a high chance of surpassing previous years by a huge margin.
