Nintendo Estimates Huge Increase In Sales This Fiscal Year Thanks To Switch 2 Launch
Nintendo has shared their fiscal results and projections for the last fiscal year (ending March 31, 2025) and the current fiscal year (ending March 31, 2026).
According to the company’s latest report, net sales dropped by 30.3% from 1671.8 billion yen in FY24 to 1164.9 billion yen in FY25. Net profit took a bigger hit, from 490.6 billion yen in FY24 to 278.8 billion year in FY25. The drop was probably caused by slower Nintendo Switch hardware and software sales in the last fiscal year.
However, the good news is that the company expects things to turn around in the current fiscal year, with a project 1900 billion yen (+63.1%) in net sales, and 300 billion yen (+7.6%) in net profit, most likely thanks to the launch of Nintendo Switch 2.
