Nintendo Issues Warning About Fake Websites Impersonating Official Pages

Nintendo has issue a statement warning customers about fake websites impersonating their official webpages.

According to the statement, Nintendo is aware of a fake website that is using their official branding illegally and selling their products at significantly discounted prices. They go on to warn users not to purchase products from such fake websites, as it may result their personal information being stolen and other “fraudulent damage”.

In addition, Nintendo also says that they will report all fake website to the relevant authorities, and have provided links to the Japanese cybercrimes consultation webpage and the Consumers Affair Agency homepage for anyone who has encountered or been harmed by these sites. At the time of this writing, it is not known which specific website prompted Nintendo to release this PSA.
