Many Nintendo pessimist always predict the so-called “Nintendoom”, but many of them actually ignore the large cash reserve Nintendo actually has.

In a recent ranking by Tokyo Keizai online, Nintendo is ranked as number one out of 3600 listed companies. With a huge cash reserve of ¥946 billion, it even ranks above rival Sony Corporation at fourth place.

With that amount of cash, Nintendo will survive a couple more Wii U. Although profit is the least of its worry now with the success of the Nintendo Switch.
