Last week, Nintendo announced a new tier or “Expansion Pack” for their Switch Online service which will give subscribers access to N64 games and Sega Genesis games on top of the NES and SNES libraries.
With the reveal of this new tier, some may be concerned that Nintendo might stop adding new games to the NES and SNES libraries in favor of focusing on the N64 and Genesis ones. Thankfully, it appears that subscribers will not have to worry about that. According to Axios writer Stephen Totilo, Nintendo has confirmed that more NES and SNES games will still be added to Switch Online, and will not require moving to the higher priced tier.
